I am 2 weeks post-op from rotator cuff surgery including other repairs to my shoulder. I was referred to Dr Fitzpatrick by my family Dr. And I couldn't be happier. He is confident in his diagnosis and treatment and shows he truly cares about his patients. I had some complications with anesthesia requiring me to stay over in the hospital after my surgery and I was well cared for. Nerve block kept me pain free for 24 hours. Since then my pain level has been much less than I expected and was completely off any pain meds since 4 days post-op and never needed narcotic pain relief. This was completely the opposite having had a prior shoulder surgery on my other shoulder 18 years ago which included no repairs with a different Dr. not in OC. Dr Fitzpatrick is a incredibly knowledgeable and experienced sports medicine orthopedic surgeon and his staff is patient, friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Michael Fitzpatrick and believe he's one of the best sports medicine/orthopedic surgeons in Southern California. He friendly, caring and is experienced in all of the latest technologies such as using stem cells and amniotic fluid to repair tissues. I just wanted to take a quick moment to praise the work of Dr. Fitzpatrick. I personally know a half dozen patients he's cared for and all have nothing but amazing things to say. I recently underwent a second meniscus repair with Dr. Fitzpatrick and he was terrific. His bedside manner is relaxed and gave me full confidence that he knows what he is doing. I had my left knee repaired three years ago by him and never gave it a second thought to return to have my right knee repaired. I would totally recommend Dr. Fitzpatrick to friends and family with any issues with joint pain or problems. I experienced a sports related shoulder injury a few years ago, pain continued to plague me until I was lucky enough to be referred to Dr Fitzpatrick! After a simple diagnostic test it was determined that I had been suffering from a torn rotator cuff. Office staff was very friendly and efficient, getting me scheduled for surgery promptly. Dr. Fitzpatrick repaired my torn rotator cuff and bicep early in July 2018 with great results. It had been torn back in 1982 and repaired and I damaged it again. This fix, with today's technology and Dr. Fitzpatrick's incredible skill, is much better and all pain is gone. The therapy took some time but the shoulder is back to original and in perfect working order. I commend him on his skills and recommend him highly. Thank you Dr. Fitzpatrick. (Review on Google)
